Sunday, March 17, 2013. This Spring Break we drove down to Baton Rouge for lunch and New Orleans for the evening. We had a great time walking the French Quarter and taking in the sights of the city and enjoying the delicious foods (especially the beignets). I can't wait for summer. Saturday, September 21, 2013. From Charleston, it's only a two hour road trip to Mrytle Beach Our hotel was on the boardwalk which had lots of restaurants and tourist shops to explore. Our first night we enjoyed dinner on the Pier and fireworks off the beach. Thursday and Friday were spent all day at the beach enjoying the waves. Mike enjoyed playing in the waves.
