The piece, constructed of (a) things of historical significance, (b) musical instruments, and (c) splinters from the Jesus cross, is manifest as two speakers which continuously play the depicted sound wave of "splinters from the Jesus cross." The notion of the spoken word serving as a musical instrument is the thing of historical significance, playing on the avant-garde ideas of John Cage.
