This is my first blog in incorporating technology into the elementary music classroom. Monthly Archives: June 2013. Amazing new Music Therapy studies. Just this week, ABC News published an article on the power of music therapy. Scientists have found that in the NICU premature babies stabilize, feed better, sleep better, and maintain a slower heart rate when someone sings to them. Studies also showed that there was an even more positive impact when the music was “live” and sung by a parent. June 26, 2013.
