Information about the illnesses. How many people are affected? Current research suggests that, in the UK alone, there are 150,000 people suffering from ME. It can affect people of any age but the onset is unlikely to occur before the age of 7 or later than the age of 60. Is there a cure? Can anything be done?

MK MEG and how it works. MK MEG is a small self-help group, run mostly by people with ME/CFS/PVFS/FMS, with the help of a few carers. The group is affiliated to Action for ME. We meet at Wolverton Community Centre, Stratford Road, Wolverton, MK12 5RL. The Community Centre is across the road from the "North-Western Hotel" and next to the entrance to "Tesco", with parking at the west end of the building. The entrance to the Centre is at the "Tesco" end of the building. On the third Tuesday in every month.

Coping with the Illnesses. Coping as a sufferer. The first step to coping with these illnesses is to understand that to take control of your illness, you must take control of your life. Try to establish a regular day-to-day routine, with set rest times and bedtimes that allow you to get as much sleep as you need. Learn to pace yourself. If you are going out in the afternoon, rest in the morning. Try to plan ahead, and don't do too much in one go. Listen to your body. Coping as a carer. Allow the person w...
