Game 160: A magical year indeed « Major League Bastian
http://mlbastian.mlblogs.com/2010/10/01/game-160-a-magical-year-indeed
Crossing the border with Blue Jays beat reporter Jordan Bastian. Game 160: A magical year indeed. Jim Thome has been in Jose Bautista’s shoes. Not literally, though, since I’m pretty sure Big Jim wouldn’t be able to squeeze into those particular cleats. I’m talking about joining the 50 Home Run Club. Back in 2002, Thome launched 52 home runs for the Cleveland Indians. Now, the veteran slugger is a designated hitter for the Twins with 589 career blasts on his resume. What does it take to hit 50 home runs?

Crossing the border with Blue Jays beat reporter Jordan Bastian. DUNEDIN, Fla. —. Have been a few cervezas involved and one of Alex Rios’ friends may or may not have ended up with an unwanted tattoo. What we do know for sure is that some late-night shenanigans over the winter in Puerto Rico led to a mohawk for the Jays’ right fielder. Let Rios explain: We started talking about mohawks and stuff like that. I was like, ‘You know what? RICCIARDI: Alex, if you cut your hair, you’d be like Tom Brady....

Crossing the border with Blue Jays beat reporter Jordan Bastian. Highlights of Anthopoulos sit-down. Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos met with reporters this afternoon at Rogers Centre, discussing the season that was and the offseason ahead. He’s “consumed” by his hunt for the Blue Jays’ next manager and he’s not satisfied with a winning season. Anthopoulos wants Toronto back in the playoffs, which means there is still plenty of work to be done. 8211;Anthopoulos was encouraged. Came to him and ...

Crossing the border with Blue Jays beat reporter Jordan Bastian. Reports: Farrell to be next Jays manager. All indications are that the next manager of the Toronto Blue Jays will be John Farrell. Multiple reports have pegged the Red Sox pitching coach as Jays GM Alex Anthopoulos’ choice for the job. The Blue Jays would not confirm the reports and Anthopoulos has not been available for comment. That said, an announcement could come as early as Monday in all likelihood. The Te of Inglett: March 2010
http://teofinglett.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
The Te of Inglett. Mostly silly Toronto Blue Jays stuff. Go Voodoo Joe. Go Jays. Sunday, March 14, 2010. I'll believe it when it's announced by the club, but it sure is fun to think the Jays swooped in and nabbed Cuban SS Adeinis Hechavarria. From underneath the Yankees. Jordan Bastian of mlb.com was told this by Alex Anthopoulos: "I don't want to comment. I don't want to lie. And I don't want to comment.". Surely if the rumour was false, he'd simply deny it? Saturday, March 6, 2010. Was one of his witty...

The Te of Inglett. Mostly silly Toronto Blue Jays stuff. Go Voodoo Joe. Go Jays. Monday, June 28, 2010. The Weekend In Philly. This amusing piece of graffiti we saw in Philadelphia pretty much sums up my feelings on this weekend's series. We had a great time in Philly. The Phans were pretty good to us, with only a little bit of good-natured jabbing toward us. We actually got a shitload of free alcohol. My Critique of Citizen's Bank Park:. The prices on beer and food were pretty good. I also love any ball...
The Te of Inglett: July 2010

The Te of Inglett. Mostly silly Toronto Blue Jays stuff. Go Voodoo Joe. Go Jays. Sunday, July 18, 2010. Today's high temperature in Atlanta, GA was 83°F, but the collective steaming of Braves fans upon hearing about Yunel Escobar's grand slam probably drove the mercury up by an additional 5 degrees. AJ Burnett threw a tantrum and subsequently slashed his hands on a door. He claims it won't affect his grip on the ball. AHAHAHAHA *cough* Whatever you say, big guy. Saturday, July 10, 2010. Big Papi Ortiz: 33.

The Te of Inglett: May 2010
http://teofinglett.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
The Te of Inglett. Mostly silly Toronto Blue Jays stuff. Go Voodoo Joe. Go Jays. Tuesday, May 11, 2010. I'm jetlagged and grumpy from an ashcloud-delayed trans-Atlantic flight yesterday, so forgive me for not being too pleased at the news. That the late June series against the Phillies has been moved to. Philly. Apparently, this was decided because of "close proximity" of the ball parks. Are you kidding me? I hope this is addressed in the press conference later. Way to hose the fans once again, Jays.
The Te of Inglett: August 2010

The Te of Inglett. Mostly silly Toronto Blue Jays stuff. Go Voodoo Joe. Go Jays. Tuesday, August 24, 2010. Jose Bautista and Tweeting Tuesdays. I was as thrilled as anyone else about #39 and #40 last night, especially considering the circumstances, but I don't know what to think of this whole kerfuffle. Just a week ago, an article in The Toronto Star. Painted Bautista as being humble and quiet. Last night, we saw a different side of him. Here's why I hate them:. http://theviewjaysedition.blogspot.com/2010/05/gonzo-saves-game-for-gregg.html
The View: Jays Edition. 4,000 km and 5 Provinces Away, Where Every Game Is An Afternoon Game. Monday, May 31, 2010. Gonzo Saves the Game for Gregg. Kevin Gregg decided to make things interesting tonight, but the Jays managed to prevail, beating Tampa Bay 3-2, in a big part by Gonzo's heads-up play to get Longoria at the plate. So far this season, the Jays have not fared well against TB, or Boston, but so far in this stretch, so good. I know what to think about expectations for this season. Perhaps not qu...

A season-long journey into the history of the Toronto Blue Jays. The stars were out in ’91. It’s been nearly 16 years since Toronto played host to the MLB all-star game. The SkyDome was just over two years old when it welcomed the league’s best on July 9, 1991, marking just the second all-star game ever played in Canada (Montreal had played host in 1981). In his first season with Toronto, second baseman Roberto Alomar. Became just the second Blue Jay ( George Bell. Alomar went 0-for-4 at the plate, but f...

Seeing double « The 500 Level
http://todddevlin.mlblogs.com/2007/08/08/seeing-double
A season-long journey into the history of the Toronto Blue Jays. Led by a 16-hit attack, the Blue Jays cruised to a 15-4 lopsided victory over the New York Yankees Wednesday night. Though none of the 16 hits was a home run, Toronto recorded nine doubles on the evening, matching a franchise record in the process. Collected a pair of doubles, as did Alex Rios. Meanwhile, Vernon Wells. Interestingly, that meant that Joe Carter. Posted on August 8, 2007 at 7:36 pm. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Runfortheroses3...
