A poker blog...?: February 2008
http://silentrebelpoker.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 26, 2008. I've been a busy guy lately. It's hard to go to school, work, play poker, and find time to blog about poker. One of them fell behind. It's not hard to see which is which from the timing of my posts. The other thing that falls behind is my poker playing itself. I'm not even sure if I'm going to make goldstar this month on pokerstars, something that I've had since either October or November. So again that explains a lot with how often I've been posting here. Starting tonight I m...

Randy Couture was the ultimate fighter | Cage Buzz
https://cagebuzz.wordpress.com/2007/10/11/randy-couture-was-the-ultimate-fighter
Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth. Randy Couture was the ultimate fighter. October 11, 2007. Resignation leaves a huge void in the UFC that might not be filled for quite some time. Is there another fighter as universally admired, as eloquent, as accomplished, as dedicated and as humble as Couture? He was the perfect ambassador for a sport still fighting for mainstream respect. Can you think of anyone better? You’ve got to respect and understand his decision. And if he couldn’t...

Silva wins. Now what? | Cage Buzz
https://cagebuzz.wordpress.com/2007/10/21/silva-wins-now-what
Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth. Silva wins. Now what? October 21, 2007. I’m not sure which question is harder to answer today: Who the hell can give Anderson Silva. Or, where does Rich Franklin. Silva’s destruction of Franklin in UFC 77 was so complete and so absolute that it’s hard to imagine anyone inside or outside of the UFC who might be able to beat the Brazilian. Mostly likely we’ll see Anderson get matched up against either Yushin Okami. The last two fighters to beat Silva.

A poker blog...?: October 2007
http://silentrebelpoker.blogspot.com/2007_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 24, 2007. What a disappointing day. I managed to play over 1400 hands today.that's not a typo, I played a ton in between my obligations today. I was playing anywhere from 4-9 tables at any given time. Unfortunately, I ran pretty bad. I didn't have any cooler hands (against a reasonable sized stack), but I just kept missing flops in key spots and bleeding chips that way. At least after playing so many hands I was able to rack up the VPPs. Sunday, October 21, 2007. I'm a terrible updater.

A poker blog...?: March 2008
http://silentrebelpoker.blogspot.com/2008_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 3, 2008. This is something similar to what Taylor Caby wrote recently on his blog at www.cardrunners.com. But it's true for me as well. Nothing makes me happier than winning money before I go to work.but nothing pisses me off more than losing money before I go to work. I should probably just stop playing then.the risk/reward isn't really there. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Orange County, CA, United States. View my complete profile. Poker Sites I Visit. A poker blog...?: January 2008
http://silentrebelpoker.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 15, 2008. SNGs might be the death of me. I think I'm finally realizing what smokkee. Used to talk about when he said that SNGs were just stealing his soul and that he didn't want to play them anymore. I haven't been able to get myself to grind SNGs in the last couple of days. I've only done about 180 total single-table SNGs since my last entry. So my goal is to play 20k hands by the end of the month because that should give me a good sample size to see how I'm doing and it should just ge...

A poker blog...?: Goals reached and the new year
http://silentrebelpoker.blogspot.com/2007/12/goals-reached-and-new-year.html
Monday, December 31, 2007. Goals reached and the new year. I hope everyone had a nice time over the holidays and that everyone is safe tonight. I myself pulled the short straw tonight so I'm the one who has to drive on "amateur night," but it's probably good anyway. At least tomorrow I won't be piecing together my night during the bowl games. Getting a minimum of $500 into my bank account every month. Becoming a consistent winner at the $60 SNGs on Stars. Reaching 'Supernova' status on Poker Stars. Janua...
