It’s no surprise that The taxi rates are very high in Paris, the le chauffeur’s (taxi drivers) drive $100,000 plus Mercedes. The Parisians are used to their buses stopping suddenly or not coming at all because of these demonstrations. Conveniently, they also served as travel guides, and were very friendly when I asked questions. The city is also dotted with very large statues that also serve as reminders of a city protected.
