Saturday, November 29, 2014. Lizard's teacher friend rented an entire theater on Thursday the 21st for the sneak preview of Mockingjay Part I! We even got these dorky nerd pins! Now that you're good and jealous, let's continue:. It seemed to help a little, so I took RC back to bed and Chris took him out in the cold air to look for owls, then they watched Curious George's Christmas movie and he was well enough to go back to bed. Sunday, May 11, 2014. Our next door neighborhood (Brushy Creek) had a BBQ festival the other week, so we went and checked it out. They had a bounce house that the kids played in for like 20 minutes for $1 each. Great success. When they weren't bouncing in the bounce house, they were busy turning up rocks and piling them on this other rock. They are slightly obsessed with rocks right now, and I fear the day Mr. Snake or Mr. Spider will be chilling under one of them. *gulp*. And chillin' on the porch.

Thursday, August 6, 2015. We went to Seattle! That's right: we bought tickets, boarded a plane and spend 4 luxurious days in beauuuuuutiful Washington. The kids were a little bit psyched. Make that a lotta bit psyched. The flight there was beautiful- the kids played on their devices, there were no diapers to worry about, the weather was lovely and the flight was on time. Woo hoo! And the kids (for the most part) carried their own crap around. Put the movie (Home) on repeat and keep the snacks comin', ma.

Wednesday, August 5, 2015. On July 7th, our beloved GP passed away. The world lost one of the sweetest, kindest, most loving and adored men that day. The last thing GP said to me as we parted ways at Duncan's wedding reception was "Next time have a boy! So guess what I did? I had a boy! And I got to spend time with my gorgeous cousin (Michelle) and meet this magical little human she created (Elle). (sigh). We miss you every day, GP. Thank you for being such a wonderful example. Resident Fun Level tester.
