A Telescopic view at the lives of birds
With Binoculars in Hand: Hello!
http://mnbirdlover.blogspot.com/2010/10/hello.html
Monday, October 25, 2010. Here's a little about myself:. I'm a 5th-grader Christian boy, and an avid birdwatcher. My favorite birds are Chickadees, Bald Eagles, Cooper and Harris Hawks, and the Snowy Owl. With a few exceptions, I mostly bird in my neighborhood complex, although I recently went to Sherburne County National Wildlife Refuge and joined a birdwatching ring there. With Binoculars in Hand: The Harpy Eagle
http://mnbirdlover.blogspot.com/2010/11/harpy-eagle.html
Tuesday, November 16, 2010. This huge bird is one that I forgot to add to my favorites-because it's definitely on there. It lives in South American rainforests and mainly preys on sloths and monkeys. It is the largest non-extinct eagle in the world. One female weighed an amazing 27 pounds. Compare that to the weight of a female Bald Eagle(17 pounds! That is a lot for a bird, because their bones are hollow! Here are some pictures via Wikipedia:. I made this picture bigger to visualize it's largeness).

With Binoculars in Hand
Thursday, August 11, 2011. I've always liked Killdeer after seeing their "broken wing trick" and almost stepping on a nest. Here's a little bit about the life of these birds:. They are named Killdeer after the "killdeer" sound that they make. They mostly eat insects. They are mostly brown in color on top with some black and white stripes and a reddish-orange circle around their eye, although they are completely white underneath. They belong in the family of plovers. Friday, July 29, 2011. American Goldfi...
