Yesterday we enjoyed a day at the local pumpkin patch.how can you spend a day at a pumpkin patch? Vala's may have started out as a place for the locals to get their fall pumpkins but over the years it has evolved into a kind of country Disneyland! Only open in the fall. Yes, I left Mike in Washington for a month near my daughter and husband, who are expecting their next child soon, and joined some family and friends in Europe for 4 crazy weeks! And 3 days in Madrid. We are staying at Petit Jean State Park in Arkansas right now. It was Arkansas's first state park and it is not hard to see why. It is a beautiful place up on a mesa with a large lake, beautiful waterfalls and several scenic hiking trails. This is our 4th and longest visit to Arkansas and I imagine we will be back some day!
