Thursday, November 7, 2013. 10 Ways to Have a Better Vacation Than Greg. My brother-in-law Greg was on vacation last week. Unfortunately it ended with pancreatitis and a seriously messed up gall bladder. It ended with a couple of trips to the hospital and surgery. It was not a fun week, so I decided to help him out by suggesting better ways he could have spent his time. So here are 10 ways to have a better vacation than Greg. 10 Get a full body wax followed by an alcohol rub. 9 French braid a porcupine.

creative confetti: Flowers From Old Books (Revamped Lamps)
http://creativeconfetti.blogspot.com/2014/06/flowers-from-old-books-revamped-lamps.html
Friday, June 27, 2014. Flowers From Old Books (Revamped Lamps). I found an old, tattered book, and it begged me to give it new life. I took it to my office, and it almost shouted out to a couple of lamps. The lamps were a snooze fest. They were boring and unrelated to one another. I decided to cut out flower shapes from the book pages. An Ellison die cut machine made quick work of my project. Not the actual book I used, but this could have been its twin.). My short, plump lamp. Center of each shape.

creative confetti: October 2013
http://creativeconfetti.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 27, 2013. Much to write about. My planner has been quite full, but that isn't a complaint. I spent the last few years with an anemic calendar, so it's nice to be busy. One of the things I've been doing is working at a pumpkin patch on the weekends. I decided to bring home a bunch of pumpkins, including a collection of minis. I put the tiny pumpkins in a large, old jar and placed it on my table. I think it's a darling centerpiece, and one that's easily moved when needed. Links to this post.

creative confetti: Prayer, Planning, and Poo

Sunday, June 28, 2015. Prayer, Planning, and Poo. This has been a gorgeous day. It has been worship filled day. It has been filled with laughter. And today was a poopie day. First, let's stroll around the Bailey Plantation. This is my home for 10 days while I watch over the estate and the youngest resident. Here's a glimpse of the peaceful beauty that surrounds me. The view from the expansive, back deck. Part of the front drive. The charming potting shed. My friend Janet arrived a little after the others...

creative confetti: Instant, No Sew Apron
http://creativeconfetti.blogspot.com/2014/06/instant-no-sew-apron.html
Wednesday, June 4, 2014. Instant, No Sew Apron. I saw a set of cute, simple valances at a thrift store. Since I have no need for a window treatment, I thought of other uses for the embroidered sweetness. So I threaded a 2" ribbon through the rod pocket, and. A cute, ruffled apron. Of course you could make two or more with each panel, if you don't like the full, ruffled look. That would mean cutting and sewing, but it would still be simple. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). creative confetti: Chihuly at the Clinton Presidential Library
http://creativeconfetti.blogspot.com/2014/07/chihuly-at-clinton-presidential-library.html
Saturday, July 19, 2014. Chihuly at the Clinton Presidential Library. My bucket list includes seeing a full Dale Chihuly installation one day. I have a bit of an artistic crush on him. That said, I wasn't about to miss the exhibit at the Clinton Library. What a lovely experience for my eyes. Oh the colors, placement, and movement of the glass. Each creation was elegant and delicate, yet powerful and sturdy. It was delicious to my eyes and spirit. A closeup of the chandelier. Even his signature is cool.

Friday, May 23, 2014. Southern Salt Food Company (Food Truck) Review. I totally jacked this picture from their Facebook page! Little Rock is hosting Food Truck Fridays at the corner of Capitol and Main. Unfortunately it began in April and only runs a couple of more weeks from 11:00-1:30. June 13th is the last chance to experience this mid-day fun. The people running the food truck were genial and seemed to be enjoying themselves as well as their customers. That always enhances any experience. On Facebook...

creative confetti: Satan's Desires vs. God's Desires
http://creativeconfetti.blogspot.com/2015/06/satans-desires-vs-gods-desires.html
Monday, June 15, 2015. Satan's Desires vs. God's Desires. The enemy is a liar. He is a liar, a cheat, a thief, and arrogant. He’s a punk, b. Ut he doesn’t get to win. Here are a few example of what he wants for you versus what God wants for you. Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away. For who is God besides the LORD? Peace...

Sunday, June 23, 2013. Yesterday Caitie and I decided to spread some love and encouragement. We had purchased several tiny, acrylic boxes from The Container Store a while back, and it was time to put them to good use. We also had a bunch of small, blank price tags. Caitie spent Friday night with me as the beginning of a long TaterBugDay. After catching a $1.50 movie, we went home to look up and type out messages for our little boxes. Here are a few examples of what we put inside. Have I not commanded you?
