Tuesday, May 27, 2008. Deadweek, Graduation Stress, Sunsets, Rib-offs! After two semesters of hard work and endless stress, it was such a welcomed change to have all the time in the world with nothing to do. It got to a point where I had to schedule in. Fun activities just so I wouldn't waste the day away by being lazy and slee. Ping all the time. Determined not to allow that to happen, I made an Excel sheet (yeah, don't judge) with time in one column and activities in the other. Each hour of th. One bro...

Monday, May 30, 2011. Avatar's Floating Mountains, but really. As some of you may know, the floating mountains in Cameron's Avatar were actually inspired by a series of rock formations in the northwestern region of the Hunan province. Since I am living in Hunan, I have no real excuse for not seeing these wonders. Well, no excuse needed! This past weekend, I woke up before sunrise and jumped on a bus towards Zhangjiajie, home to these rock mountains. Sunday, May 29, 2011. The Lion King - A Yali Musical.

Dang. It's Gang.: December 2010
http://dangitsgang.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 1, 2010. I have come to accept the fact that, living in China for two years, miscommunications will inevitably occur. Ordering food at a restaurant, getting the right data plan on my cell phone, telling a taxi driver my destination. Usually, the consequences aren't too serious. Occasionally, however, it result in some strange and awkward situations. For example. If they were just playing basketball, why the urgency? I should've picked up on the signs. Thirty minutes later, I finally s...

How have I not escaped college applications and personal essays already? Day asking for further revisions. Were we this crazy back then? Although I am in China, I will not not. Celebrate Halloween (yay English! The p...

Sunday, November 28, 2010. Thanksgiving Week in Guangzhou. First Thanksgiving in China! Before, I wondered how celebrating this lesser known American holiday in the East would be different. Well, the answer: Not much. Minus the turkey and family, it was rather familiar: people bustling out of food markets and into kitchens, cooking up a storm, leaving behind an impressive mess, lots of stuffing of one's mouth, lots of schmoozing, lots of music. Colin, asleep after fending off hordes of mosquitoes. On thi...
