The Adventures of Zippy Lee - A 1966 Shasta. Thursday, April 23, 2015. Goodbye Zippy Lee, I'll never forget you. In other sad news: Circumstances are such that I have been forced to find the Zip a new home. It breaks my heart, but makes me happy knowing that someone will be continuing the work I started, and that some day Zippy Lee will be the gorgeous, shiny shasta I know is in there. Roll on Zip. The Adventures of Zippy Lee - A 1966 Shasta: Trailer Parts Organ Donor
http://zippyleeshasta.blogspot.com/2010/03/trailer-parts-organ-donor.html
The Adventures of Zippy Lee - A 1966 Shasta. Monday, March 1, 2010. Trailer Parts Organ Donor. My dad found an ad on CL for Vintage Trailer Parts $80.00. The ad showed Hehr windows, a few jalousies, a door, some drip caps, a table and some other misc. parts. SCORE. With hopes that one of the windows can be used as a replacement for Zippy's missing rear window, I made the long drive out to get the parts. August 11, 2010 at 4:17 AM. Hey, nice site you have here! Keep up the excellent work! 2100 - Buytl Tape.

The Adventures of Zippy Lee - A 1966 Shasta: Lack of progress = increased frustration
http://zippyleeshasta.blogspot.com/2010/03/lack-of-progress-increased-frustration.html
The Adventures of Zippy Lee - A 1966 Shasta. Wednesday, March 31, 2010. Lack of progress = increased frustration. We haven't made much progress. After the huge accomplishment of finishing the floor, we had to remove the two rear windows and lift zippy's behind with a 2x4 and some posts, as it was seriously sagging. That's pretty much all we did last weekend. I'm feeling frustrated at the last of progress. It's not that we're not trying, there's just not enough time! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

The Adventures of Zippy Lee - A 1966 Shasta: Rebuilding the door.

The Adventures of Zippy Lee - A 1966 Shasta. Monday, March 1, 2010. Saturday evening I decided to take the door off the trailer and take it apart. I could tell there was significant rot at the bottom, and I only had a few hours that evening and a few Sunday morning to get something done. The door seemed do-able. I started by taking off the broken (! Here's what the old frame looked like:. Here's what the new frame looks like:. Finally we began piecing the door back together. We had to take the lock s...

The Adventures of Zippy Lee - A 1966 Shasta. Sunday, February 21, 2010. Sounds easy enough. Pull up the old stuff, put down some new stuff. Easy right? Um, 2 days later I am exhausted, and we didn't even get the new subfloor down! After taking out what was left of the bathroom (Front to back):. And back to front:. And after day 2:. Close up. supports look to be in good condition. Minimal rust on metal underside (nice surprise! But the perimeters and corners are shot:. Tuesday, February 9, 2010. I'm going...

Friday, January 7, 2011. The holidays were great! Filled with laughter and shining-eyed children, who were hopped-up on candy canes and cookies. And I got to hang up our first-ever holiday lights on the new house. Nuh uh. don't like that. In the drawing, you can see two trailer cross-sections. The one on the left is ...

Monday, March 19, 2012. Vintage Travel Trailer-part7-dedication or lunacy? I've declared my broken shoulder healed and took some time to really think about that trailer. I forced myself to remove the rose colored glasses, take stock of reality, and weigh the handful of pros against the mountain of cons. And so, the very ...
