PRIDE training is a mandatory twenty-seven hour course required for all prospective adoptive applicants in Ontario. The completion of this course must occur before a home study can be concluded. She will provide support, guidance and information to anyone interested in a potential adoption plan for their child. There is never any expectation to proceed. If a birth parent decides to proceed with an adoption, you can choose a family for your child, meet the prospective adoptive family and develop an openness agreement to help guide future contact. Birth parents are not charged for this service.
