Hands on Portland: May 2013
http://handsonportland.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Monday, May 27, 2013. Brian had the day off work on Friday so he had planned to sleep in. HOWEVER, at 6:00am we heard two HUGE booms ( Brian said it was a cannon). Then two helicopters started circling the block for the next HOUR. Apparently a HUGE tree had fallen on some power lines and two cars on the end if our block. Fortunately Brian's car happens to be parked out of reach. Posted by Brian Cook. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Welcome to the blog! Things have changed back home.

http://handsonportland.blogspot.com/2014/04/studio-remodel.html
Saturday, April 19, 2014. It didn't look like much when we bought the house - but over the course of a month we were able to convert the free-standing garage behind our new house into an AWESOME art studio for Renee. Here are some pictures to show you the process. This is what it looked like before on the inside. This is what it looked like before on the outside. Posted by Brian Cook. Wow, Renee, you worked so hard and your studio is beautiful! May 20, 2014 at 3:45 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Hands on Portland: The Table Project
http://handsonportland.blogspot.com/2014/06/the-table-project.html
Tuesday, June 24, 2014. We recently bought a $25 table at a thrift store and Brian decided to sand it down to see if we could make it a nice dining table for the new house. The wood was in pretty good shape after sanding it down. Renee used her painting skills to put some re-coat the top. We painted the outside white - now all we need are some chairs! Sunday, February 23, 2014. Renee's father Helmut is visiting Portland for the first time. As a certified electrician and general handyman if all sorts, he wasn't in our new house five minutes before he pulled out a chisel and got to work! The studio construction is done. Yesterday Helmut worked on the electricity and we worked on painting! Posted by Brian Cook. Saturday, February 8, 2014. The snow keeps on coming! Here are some pictures courtesy of PDX Pipeline. Hands on Portland: August 2013
http://handsonportland.blogspot.com/2013_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 6, 2013. Back to Michigan and NYC! A month ago we look a big trip back to the East side of the country. It was the first time we got to fly with Olive. We took the red-eye from Portland to Detroit, so that may account for how sleepy Renee and Olive look in this picture. However, they were both excited to be on solid ground after landing! When we arrived in Romeo, we learned that Carla's son Levi had learned a few new things since the last time we saw him. When we arrived at the apartment ...

Saturday, March 30, 2013. It's spring break and we didn't waste any time before packing up and driving down the coast! Posted by Brian Cook. Brian took a trip down to Santa Barbara, California this spring to enjoy a little sunshine with some of his designer friends! The only problem was that it was difficult to go back home to rain and cold. Posted by Brian Cook. Posted by Brian Cook. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Welcome to the blog!
