Tartine Breadの本を読んでから（前の記事はコチラ. 65289;、Tartine風の「こねない、水分率の高いパン」をいかに美味しく焼くか、試行錯誤を重ねた末（もうかれこれ10回くらい焼きました・・・）、この Romertopf. 水分を逃さずパンを焼くには、オーブンに入れられるフタつきの鍋がやはり良いということで、そういうものはけっこうお値段が張るのだけれど、このクレイ・ポット（素焼きのオーブン鍋、とでも言うのかな？）は、サイズにもよりますが、わたしが買ったのは$40ほど。肉料理の蒸し焼きなどが美味しくできるらしく、うちはパン専用に認定（笑）. このクレイ・ポットで二次発酵をさせて、そのまま冷たいオーブンに入れて（クレイ・ポットは急激な温度変化に弱いため）、焼いてしまいます。粉がやけに多くついている箇所は、ちと手がすべりました（笑）. 外側カリカリで中はモチモチ、小麦のいい香りがしてすごく美味しかったのだけれど（しかも、いつもよりほんのり甘かった）、気泡がまだイマイチかな・・・. 12300;ランチ・パーティーにいらっしゃいませんか」. Wednesday, March 19, 2014. It wasn't exactly billed as my birthday weekend trip - it was actually a trip over to Vancouver Island to buy our new car. But as Chris's luck would have it he was able to kill 2 birds with one stone, get the new car AND treat me to a weekend away - he's smooth like that ;-). 2 people were refused boarding by the driver for being too drunk and another was arrested.
