Well, that was the beginning of the end. We did not feel supported, we felt that they were doing the group because they were supposed to-not because they really cared how we felt. Now, they were super nice, they just still did not understand. We felt so betrayed that they did not want our babies there, especially as it meant we could no longer attend.

Mochaa offers support to mothers and families of children with special needs. Mochaa attends conferences and local special education activities in order to reach out to gain new members as well as to raise community awareness of the needs of the special needs parent. Mochaa works with local schools and professionals to reach out to newly diagnosed parents, or parents who are feeling alone and in need of more support in their life. Mother's support group dinners and meetings. Current mothers group activities. 3rd Sunday every month. Offee, couple's nights, trainings,& guest speakers. Navigation of the special education system is arduous and time consuming, and parents are able to offer tips and advice, and share their experiences. Parents can also exchange contact emails, and we have seen many wonderful friendships blossom between both parents, and kids, from having this sort of local grouping of special needs families.

Facilitated special needs kids playgroup. These playgroups occur on the fourth Sunday of every month, in either a park or home environment depending on weather. Volunteers and parents are used to facilitate play and social interaction between the children. The children attending this playgroup are special needs children, and neurotypical friends and siblings. Current kids group activities. 4th sunday every month. Movie nights & plays.
