Iain Lobb: Could Flash autogenerate classes from IDE information at design-time?
http://blog.iainlobb.com/2009/05/could-flash-autogenerate-classes-from.html
On creating games with Unity, HTML5 and Flash. Friday, 15 May 2009. Could Flash autogenerate classes from IDE information at design-time? UPDATE: Chalk this post up to my own ignorance - Simon Cave has pointed out that you can basically do exactly what I proposed by just exporting a swc. And compiling with the FlexSDK. Obviously that has it's own advantages and disadvantages, but for the sake of this benefit I'm probably going to move over to that workflow. Here's the original post anyway. They contain&#...

I spent a big chunk of November and December working on a prototype for Alice: Beyond The Looking Glass. My bones animation system parses Mov...

Iain Lobb: Help me make this Canvas benchmark faster
http://blog.iainlobb.com/2012/02/help-me-make-this-canvas-benchmark.html
On creating games with Unity, HTML5 and Flash. Thursday, 23 February 2012. Help me make this Canvas benchmark faster. I'm doing another round of benchmarks at the moment. This new one is called PirateMark. It tests how many big rotating sprites can run on a particular engine/platform at 960x720 resolution, at 60fps. So far it's not looking very promising for HTML5 canvas - I can't get 60fps even with just 1 sprite, and at 30fps I can only get 10 sprites going. Havent tested as yet however! This html5 bus...
