Adaptive reuse upcycled tin jewelry . . and . . tincaustics mixed-media encaustic art. March 26, 2009. Okay, now for the contest part. Free pair of earrings (your choice) from my ETSY shop. To the first person who correctly identifies the above conical object. This is what I knew about it:. 1 I got it at the thrift store (of course). 2 It’s stainless steel. Adaptive reuse upcycled tin jewelry . . and . . tincaustics mixed-media encaustic art. March 13, 2014. After 10 years working with the same material, it can be challenging to find more things to explore and boundaries to push. I’ve tried many approaches over the course of time, but the most reliable method I have for staving off the desire to quit entirely is pretty basic. These new little Pinwheel Baubles. Are a direct result of this approach. How about forming and bending anything different there?

I was hoping to post this earlier in the week, but somehow the days just flow by. Tuesday night was the second half of my Gelatin Printmaking Workshop. Was prepared for the class doofus and had one of her super-slick permanent plates ready for me to use. She had us use one brand of ink first. I chose Speedball. KAREN HARDY: May 2015
http://hardyart.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
I made this stuff. Check it out. Wednesday, May 6, 2015. I’ve been learning more about working with metal from Hollis Fouts. And just finished these small long and link stitch blank books. The covers are 20-gauge copper. I used a fuming chamber with ammonia, vinegar, and salt to create the patina, and it is amazing how much variation in color and pattern this technique yields. I’m looking forward to pairing this method with more handmade paper. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). What stuff do you make?
