Moderately Interesting: The Good and the Bad
http://moderatelyinteresting.blogspot.com/2012/01/good-and-bad.html
A sometimes running, sometimes walking, sometimes other stuff blog. Sunday, January 1, 2012. The Good and the Bad. So the walking thing. Yeah, I'll come back to that. For now.it's the New Year. Again. (I wonder if there's a spike in the number of blog posts today with folks writing about all their resolutions and all that? Kinda like the spike in gym memberships.). Ways I do take care of myself, listed in order that they come to mind:. 1) I eat way more food than I need for fuel, and included in that is ...
Moderately Interesting: May 2010
http://moderatelyinteresting.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
A sometimes running, sometimes walking, sometimes other stuff blog. Thursday, May 20, 2010. Best Marathon Cheering Sign? This is a plea for help. My friend Xenia. Is coming up to Edinburgh to run in the Edinburgh Marathon. On Sunday. I've never spectated or cheered at a marathon before and I'd like to do it properly. Of course I can come up with an unimaginative sign that says something like, "Go Xenia! But I want to do better. Please, please, please, bring them on! Friday, May 14, 2010. And as typically...
Moderately Interesting: April 2010
http://moderatelyinteresting.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
A sometimes running, sometimes walking, sometimes other stuff blog. Friday, April 30, 2010. I hate when I attempt to do something good for my body and mind, and it backfires. Like the beginning yoga class I took Wednesday evening. Oh we'll just start with learning the sun salutation. And then build on to that every week, says the instructor, as if it will be easy. Here's hoping we don't get too wet. Sunday, April 25, 2010. Oh yes, I forgot. Plan for this next week:. Run 3 WEEKDAYS for a total of 3 miles.
Moderately Interesting: May 2009
http://moderatelyinteresting.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
A sometimes running, sometimes walking, sometimes other stuff blog. Thursday, May 28, 2009. I'll miss you, Charlie-man. Wednesday, May 20, 2009. Me versus The Hill: Week 3. Tonight I ran the Horrible Hill route. Running partner E. was busy last night, so of course I put off going for a run. I almost put it off again tonight, but finally, after I procrastinated a bit, I kicked myself out the door. That's a small triumph right there. Of taking very small steps when running up hills. On the Horrible Hil...
Moderately Interesting: Food This Week
http://moderatelyinteresting.blogspot.com/2012/01/food-this-week.html
A sometimes running, sometimes walking, sometimes other stuff blog. Friday, January 6, 2012. Ok, this is what I think my meals will be this week:. Omelet with broccoli and sun-dried tomatoes, toast, fruit. Cereal with soy milk, yogurt, fruit. Soup w/cheese and crackers. Dal, Indian carrots, and bread. Some of this stuff I already have in my fridge or freezer, which is good. It's going to be a busy work weekend. The goal now will be to ensure things I don't need stay out of my shopping cart.
