I love a good, just yellow with a few freckles, banana. Problem is, that particular banana complexion only lasts about 3.4325 hours. Then you are left with 2-3 unappealing, liver spotted bananas (weird how its always 2 or 3). Try these super easy lettuce wraps courtesy of Cooks Country magazine. They are AWESOME! 2 Tbsp. oil. 1 lb ground pork (or chicken, or turkey, yum). 1/4 c hoisin sauce. 3 Tbsp. soy sauce. 2 Tbsp. water. 1 Tbsp. Asian chili-garlic sauce. 1 red bell pepper, chopped into 1/4" pieces. 1-8 oz. can water chestnuts, drained and chopped.

Every year she has a beautiful herb garden and sends the kids out to snip what she needs for the dish she is making. My daughter loves to run out and grab a big handful of basil for tomatoes or chives for potatoes (tarragon throws her though). 2 Tbsp. dried leaf marjoram. 2 Tbsp. dried leaf oregano. 2 Tbsp. dried leaf rosemary.

Feeding your inner domestic goddess (intermittently) since 2011. Wednesday, September 18, 2013. I love plums. I love the combination of sweet flesh and tart skin. I must be in the minority because they don't seem to get the same attention as say, apples or peaches. Don't get me wrong, I also love apples and peaches, but sometimes you want a new twist on your pie or cobbler. That is when I turn to plums. I call that a win. 12 plums, pitted and sliced (or enough fruit to fill an 8"x8" baking dish 3/4 full).
