This attractive small, hexagonal, lighthouse, built in 1851, is located at the westernmost lock of the canal in Crinan. It’s 6 metres high and the llight is 8 metres above sea level. We visited the amazing Falkirk Wheel last October (2008) in terrible rainstorms, but it was a great day out nevertheless once we were indoors! A model of the wheel inside a glass case in the shop.
