2008 – The series was the first part of an incomplete photography project about football, Somewhere far away from the lights and the media noise, a school in Masr el Qadema (Old Cairo) where children playing only for the sake of nothing but enjoying the game. The inner twin is a series of studio double exposed portraits. Every photo is composed of two full length shots for the same person after changing customs, accessories and make-up trying to simulate the vintage twins photos in old studios, and reflecting the dual personality conflicts through the visual illusion in photos.

In the middle of the chaotic streets of one of my favorite places, Cairo Downtown, a place which has bewitched those who pass it by, and taken in very different people including Egyptians and foreigners, stands one of the strongest examples of harmony between all those contradictions.
