Friday, June 28, 2013. See that curving mud/dirt road? That's what Lesotho's roads look like -. A bit of an adventure to drive on! Finally made some time to write about this! Apparently the building on the Lesotho side was washed away at some point… that might have been made up by the tour guide, but it’s totally possible – I think it’s relatively rare for there not to be a customs/immigration post to stamp you into a country! Bumpy almost the entire time we were in the car. A perfect way to end the day!

Well guess who was wrong? Last Tuesday during our staff meeting I saw a very. Teachers launch nationwide strike. Teachers threaten to defy interdict. Wednesday, May 29, 2013. The Grade 7s led the other girls in the dancing. On Friday it was the 50. Anniversary of the OAU – Organization of African Unity. After break we had a small program to celebrate as a school. I was so excited because I finally had another chance to film some traditional Owambo dances! I filmed a fair amount of things last year from the cultural groups, but I was extremely far away/my camera was half-broken so the quality wasn’t good enough, but now I have redeemed myself!

Saturday, September 28, 2013. 20 Girls crammed into the back of a closed bakkie. normal! At the end of July we had a crazy weekend of camping outside of Luderitz, and it was awesome! We started our weekend with the GUTS Girls Group, camping at Stormvogels Bucht, which is a deserted [like everything down here] bay on the way out to Diaz Point. It used to be an old whaling station! 65279;. S'mores and Glow Sticks! Then, as we started with the s'mores, a trio of jackals came close to our campfire!
