Spring . time of uneasieness. I love Spring time. It's the time when everything springs forth with new life. The trees bud, flowers bloom, animals come out, birds fly and sing . and of course - MOLD begins to bloom. No I don't like that, but it is a natural part of the environmental flow. So how can I enjoy the beauty of Spring without falling prey to my new adversary, mold? That's a good question. I've not really found a good answer yet. Links to this post. Winter . What Winter ? I have waited all year long for a shot at going outside. To do this meant we had to have temperatures in the range of 20F or lower. Mold will continue to cast spores even down as low as 25F. But aside from a few days back in mid-November 2005, we've been unseasonably warm. In years past this would have been a real boon! I'd have hit the streams and farm ponds for some mid-winter fishing fun. But that won't happen anytime soon: not so long as I have to dodge mold spores.
