Of all things quilty good! Sunday, May 3, 2015. Tiny Steps and Bow-tie Tutorial. A couple of folks asked about the Improv Bow-tie quilt and my teeny tiny Courthouse Steps. I used a template because my s...

http://mollyflanders.blogspot.com/2015/06/time-for-ark.html
Of all things quilty good! Friday, June 26, 2015. Time for an Ark? I feel for all the folks in California suffering from lack of rain.if there was a way for me to send you a bit of our weather, I would! We have had soooo much rain! Hardly a dry day and many days with drenching, soaking rains! You would think all this rain means lots of sewing time. But for me it just means I have to find creative ways to keep a dog busy! But I have had time to do a bit of sewing. I have been working on a little fun swap.
Molly Flanders: How To {make that block}
http://mollyflanders.blogspot.com/2012/01/how-to-make-that-block.html
Of all things quilty good! Tuesday, January 24, 2012. How To {make that block}. I worked all day {don't you feel bad for me :( } on a tutorial for how I made this block. So here goes.keep in mind you can change the sizes - you certainly don't have to keep the same size block I made. I started with a 5.5 inch square. You need 4 of these to get one star. In the center we are going to draw lines to make a kite shape {similar to a spiderweb block}. I made a dot 2 inches from the top point on both sides.

Susi sent the most amazing pieced one inch hexies.pieced! And an amazing drawstring bag. And fabric and fun kitties and horses! And there was candy, but I took care of that right away! Back t...

pieceful life: charms on point process tutorial
http://piecefullife-elizabeth.blogspot.com/2014/11/charms-on-point-process-tutorial.html
Friday, November 28, 2014. Charms on point process tutorial. I bought my first Cotton and Steel fabric from my local quilt shop. I have really enjoyed working with these colors. I pulled 30 of the 10 inch squares and cut four 5 inch charms from each. I sewed them together in rows of 10, keeping the placement of the squares. Consistent each time. I am calling this a "controlled scrappy" quilt : ). I decided to use the technique "turning charms on point" that I like to use so often. I really like the look!
