I set up my first blog in 2005, and as was the norm I updated it every now and then and that was about it. That still has its place of course, but liveblogging has injected a whole new life into blogging. The most common type Ive seen is the matchtracker, which RTÉ.ie. Use most weekends. Heineken.ie. Local newspapers are turning to multimedia on an increasingly regular basis in an attempt to entice consumers. And the Mayo News. All use their Facebook pages to remind people that they exist. The Mayo News’s page is particularly impressive as it has almost 1,500 followers and frequently updates the page with competition details. The Carlow Nationalist revamped its website.

Do right. love goodness. walk humbly with God. Monday, July 27, 2009. An "About Me" Essay for Georgetown. Here is an essay I wrote which was included in an application to Georgetown University's Liberal Studies Program. I will begin studying Islam and Muslim/Christian Relations in the fall. There is a self-consciousness that comes with being asked to explain my last eleven years since graduating from college. One likes to think it’s been a linear journey, with logical turns of events. We ate lots of beans.

When I started this little project I thought it could be a nice way to stay in touch with friends while I went on hiatus and studied Ayurveda in New Mexico and I could leave it when I was done. Which is pretty much how it has gone. It is summer again here and today is a perfect day, crisp, breezy, green and full of sun.
