Thursday, September 24, 2009. Here is the finished commissioned baby quilt. It ended up being 44" square, which is large for a baby quilt. But, I think it gives room to grow. I pieced the back, which is a new thing for me. I like the look it gives and that it has a patchwork vibe to it as well. Here is a close up of the quilting and my fabulous label. It is the perfect size - about 9" x 12" - and can hold diapers, a wipes case, and a change of clothes. Why do I call it the "Daddy Diaper Tote? Monday, November 8, 2010. I love wearing an apron. Not only does it protect my clothes from the inevitable spills in life, but they can be a stylish accessory. At the Holiday Bazaar this coming Saturday, I'll have several to choose from. For those who want an apron to wear at times other than Christmas, I have this lovely green and blue apron. I'll also have a couple of pink apple aprons, which aren't finished as of today. I would hate for someone to buy what you have your heart set on.

Adventures of a Cross Stitch Drama Queen. Keep Calm and Carry On. Friday, October 18, 2013. The giant duck has come to Pittsburgh. It may not look like it in these photos, but it's huge. Like 40 feet high huge. And everyone calls it the "rubber duck" but it's not rubber. It's inflated, like a giant balloon. Apparently it's part of an international festival and will be visiting several other US cities, but who cares, right? It's a giant duck. As if it needs a reason to sit in our rivers. We have watched her grow spiritually for the past year and a half. The baptism itself was just the icing on the cake. So I made her a quilt. So I went a little overboard with the size of this thing. The pattern calls this a "lap" size. Ha. Hahahhahhaha. That's a gigantic lap. It fits on her bed. The name is perfect!
