Sunday, September 28, 2008. Our Social worker came for our home visit. It went very well. She said everything looked great. She took a short tour of our house and then interviewed us one on one. We each talked about our lives from childhood til now. It will take her a few weeks to get it written up and then she will forward it on to Eugene, OR where the Holt International headquarters is located. Monday, September 22, 2008. Thursday, January 22, 2009. Why we decided to Adopt from Korea. We did a lot of research about this. Korean orphans live in loving, stable foster homes instead of orphanages. Korea has excellent medical care- comparable to that of the US. We can expect regular medical updates about our baby once we are matched with one. Travel is optional. Korea has optional escorts for babies to the US. If we chose to travel to Korea, which we probably will, then the stay is only 3-5 days. Saturday, January 10, 2009.
