Thursday, August 21, 2014. The Mayor and I find ourselves in a situation where God's is refining us. Ugh - it was SO hard to write that sentence because I want so much to believe that God has forgotten us. Yet, while my head screams that at me, my heart knows differently. This past year has been hard on me. Trying to get on with life after the death of my father has been difficult. Even though he lived many states away, he was such a vital part of my life. There's that hole. Because it's not on MY terms.

She wanted sympathy from her peers because her 12 year old step-daughter came home with a fake lip piercing. Friday, February 21, 2014. I co-lead a group of 6th grade girls at my church. This is my 2nd time around. I'll admit, the 1st time I decided to lead a group I went kicking and screaming. Sunday, January 9, 2011. Writing is how I process things. I have to pour everything out together, stream of consciousness style, and then sort through it until it all makes sense and fits into place. While sometimes I get to the end and nothing fits or makes sense, I never have a problem with the spitting it out part. Now it's going something like this:. Stare at blank screen. Type a few words. Repeat, Repeat, Repeat. The most important thing is that you never quit trying. The words will come eventually.

Monday, June 27, 2011. That's how many days it has been since the day that my beautiful baby girl was born. Things did not go exactly the way that we planned for them to on that day. She decided that one is never too young to start giving her parents heart-attacks and grey hairs. She was destined to be a girlie girl from the very beginning.(note the bow-bow). On that day, we weren't sure that we were ever going to make it to this day. But here we are, we have come a long ways! Clearly, still ALL girl.

Sunday, November 6, 2016. I broke down and bought a buffer polisher to finish. I was very disappointed in it. Iassembled all the needed items. I applied wax, buffed off according to directions on the countertop wax. I didn't see a higher gloss or anything. Dh feels the buffer isn't working well. I called GOOD! Yes, patients was gone.
