Melanie Madness: August 2011
http://melaniemadness.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Tuesday, August 16, 2011. To my dear friend Madeline-. I was far from forgetting about our Eastern trip. I think I was just to overwhelmed about the fact I had one of the most fun trips, that I was afraid I could not even come close to sharing our experiences. Therefore:. The first night we spent in New York at a hotel where the elevator was quite confusing to operate, only because the lobby had 3 stair steps up to the level where the first rooms were. That 3 steps made a button in the elevator. The four...

Melanie Madness: October 2010
http://melaniemadness.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 10, 2010. My #10 Oath List. Since I have not been blogging recently at all, I thought I would share some fun facts about how I am doing thus far in my teenage life. 1 I got back into the habit of biting my nails. Which is a MAJOR BUMMER considering I thought I had defeated that temptation to eat my grubby fingers that touch many germy surfaces. Well.Welcome back 'no bite nail polish' p.s. your taste disturbs my tongue and taste buds. 3 I still disliken my exzema wickedly itchy dry skin.

hale family - party of eight: September 2014

Hale family - party of eight. Friday, September 26, 2014. I recently read an article. Regarding selfies in an emergency situation. For many frightened air passengers, the best part about surviving a plane incident is living to tweet about it.". Look it up yourself! It's on the news. Quit asking me! Apparently Suzanne and I are of the opinion that selfies and cameras are appropriate in an emergency. I suppose we weren't really in an emergency, just a "situation". But I think getting our cameras ou...Or ar...

Hale family - party of eight. Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Overheard on a cruise. You drive across the country so much. You're like a pinball.". Jordan, that expression surprised me. I've never seen you without that smile on your face.". I've never had a bug that big in my brassiere before.". It's OK Dave. There's a white guy in every group.". Madeline: "This isn't like taking a trip with Suzanne. We are more of a PG-13 group.". Roxanne: "What is this? Madeline: "Well, it's like Pork Chops". Madeline: "N...

Hale family - party of eight. Saturday, August 31, 2013. It was a busy day. We took some time out after the wedding to feed the crowd, then on to last minute preparations for the evening. The day was perfect, the weather was perfect, the food was perfect, the company was perfect. There were so many small details that made the evening so adorable and so fun. Everyone pitched in to get things ready for the evening. Our beautiful little bride. Monday, August 26, 2013. When I finally got back home, Dave had ...

Hale family - party of eight. Saturday, August 9, 2014. Are you smarter than a 5th grader? Well, Melanie got her mission call yesterday. She will be living on the other side of the earth in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. As we replayed the video (which I can't seem to download here) of her opening her assignment, we overheard each other saying "She's going to Czechoslovakia! Yes Yes it does. (although in our defense, she said "Czech/Slovak", it sounds similar, right? We went to buy a map for Melanie to...

Hale family - party of eight. Saturday, February 28, 2015. Trains planes and automobiles (and subways). Surely this wasn't more than 5 minutes away. He asked if it was a new hotel? Then he laughed and said "this is IN the airport! Then he started driving while laughing. Then we thought, wait, if this is IN the airport, where is he driving us? Yay It also made it easier to get back on the next morning knowing we'd be the first ones on and were assured an actual seat. Or maybe I'm just easily amused.

Hale family - party of eight. Saturday, November 30, 2013. Look what I found that I never actually hit the "publish" button! This is not a surprise announcement, they've been engaged for over a month - wedding dress purchased, plans made etc. I'm just a slow blogger these days). Although a typical day doesn't usually include a funeral, most days include something unexpected. Is it just us or does everyone have lives that are 70% planned and 30% roll with the punches? Finish the Business billing. Wedding ...

Hale family - party of eight. Thursday, November 27, 2014. Here are the 4 of these kids today, and again on the same rock 7 years ago. Dave and I on a similar bridge in the complex, now and a few years back. As we snapped the picture of our four kids, I immediately realized it didn't feel right. We don't have 4 kids anymore. We have 6 kids. This picture is much better! It will be fun to continue our family photos as our family grows and grows from here on out. Sunday, November 23, 2014. I'm remembering t...
