Because God has a really good sense of humor. Sunday, April 11, 2010. After reading this post. Today on my friend Andrea's blog. I felt the need to tell a classic Andy story. So,everyone cozy up with hot chocolate and a warm blanket and prepare to say "You married him! You love it as much as I did! Alas, our story does not have the happy ending one would expect from watching a gloating 6'3" man tumble helplessly down a flight of stairs. Andy's no spring chicken and so of course. The Pfaffl House: December 2008
http://raisinglandon.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
Because God has a really good sense of humor. Friday, December 26, 2008. Just before Christmas, we had a surprise visit from my Grandma's "baby" brother from southern California. I absolutely LOVE this man! He is calm and soft-spoken, sweet and gentle and wise. We are always having him tell us the stories he told us when we were little and we still get as excited as we used to. Oh my gosh, I wish you could see how amazing he is! It's a weird thought. The poor man couldn't keep his eyes open for many (it ...

Musings of a Catholic Mama just trying to live her vocation and get to heaven. Monday, December 26, 2016. A year in review: 2016. 1 What did you do in 2016 that you’d never done before? I visited the Biltmore in Asheville. I found an mixed alcoholic drink that I liked on my own account, a chocolate martini. And I just remembered we fostered 5 dogs and 3 rabbits this year, we had never had a pet as a family before. 2 Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year? As for bi...

Musings of a Catholic Mama just trying to live her vocation and get to heaven. Saturday, January 30, 2016. What I learned from the movie Inside Out. When I watched the Disney film Inside Out. So, once again, a children's film strikes me again with a bit of wisdom that I needed, and for that I'm thankful. It's an odd thing to work on, learning how to grieve, but you see for so long I didn't for so many things that I need this. And so I'm okay to be in the sadness, the sadness is good for me. Budgeting Les...

Musings of a Catholic Mama just trying to live her vocation and get to heaven. Wednesday, March 23, 2016. A Nursing Update: 25 months. So currently we nurse only 2 to 3 sessions per day. One at the beginning of nap, one at bed time and the other may happen at wake up for the day like it did today, or in the middle of the night or in a moment where its just needed. But to go from 8ish nursing sessions to this feels like a different life, and a different baby. More about Nursing, Dear Lena. You are six....

Contranaut Girl: Joy in the child
http://contranautgirl.blogspot.com/2016/09/joy-in-child_43.html
Musings of a Catholic Mama just trying to live her vocation and get to heaven. Monday, September 5, 2016. Joy in the child. As Mother Teresa was canonized yesterday, the quote of hers that came to mind was the following:. 8220;How can there be too many children? That is like saying there are too many flowers.” -St. Mother Teresa. I have always loved this quote, but struggled with it too. However, there is truth here, and I am learning to live it daily. There is more, but I will save that for another time.
