It gives me at least an hour to be up by myself before Paul and Taylor get up. It's quiet and I have time to putz around on the computer and you'll see by the photo that great things can be seen by getting up this early. It was great to get a good nights rest, currently having a great sail from our overnight anchorage on the East side of the MS southwest passage entrance to Grand Isle LA. Good wind light seas, blue sky. Paul will be staying with the boat and the crew will be heading back to our regular lives. Follow the voyages and adventures of Paul, Kelly and Taylor. Momma Kat was purchased in March 2011 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and brought to Clear Lake Shores, Texas that May. Our 46' catamaran is a custom built boat for the previous owners using Malcolm Tennant designs and constructed at Tennessee Boat Works. The name "Momma Kat" for a boat, you ask? We actually had the chance to incorporate a symbol on the boat's name for Paul's stepdad, JT, who retired from Coca Cola, that we sadly lost in November 2010.

Planning on cutting down south due to cold front in the gulf messing up standard wind flow, bearing about 265 and hoping for southeastern breezes to kick in a day or so from now. Tuesday, July 7, 2009. Naples Zoo and some other stuff. Well, the girls went to their first zoo yesterday. My father and I took them to the Naples Zoo in Florida. It went - OK. Since my Dad is a veteran, he got in for free that day and I got in for a $11.95 as a veteran's dependent (though I'm NOT, since I'm 26! The girls were free.
