Getting Monkey Ready to Read: Ava Grace Around the Web
http://mommamonkey.blogspot.com/2009/07/ava-grace-around-web.html
Friday, July 3, 2009. Ava Grace Around the Web. Lately my little monkey has been popping up around the web! Recently we had an amazing photo session with Jessi of Everyday Studios. Jessi gave us a little preview of the session! Nearly Two and the Hottest Day of the Year. As we prepared for the big birthday, I purchased an adorable birthday shirt for Ava from Chakra Pennywhistle's. Shop and was so excited to see Ava's photo on her blog! One Cute Little Customer. July 16, 2009 at 1:54 PM. Ava Grace is Two!
Getting Monkey Ready to Read: September 2008
http://mommamonkey.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 20, 2008. Ava has always been surrounded by stories and books. Before her birth she could hear the stories I was sharing with children during storytimes and school visits. In the hospital. She was cuddled close and heard about the adventure of Curious George only to arrive home to be surrounded by images from his stories. Since then Ava always has a pile of books within reach. And to my excitement Ava loves books! Face to Face with The Duck. Above is a video of her reading. Ava got to...

Getting Monkey Ready to Read: June 2009
http://mommamonkey.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 7, 2009. This past weekend was the Columbus Arts Festival. Ava and I made a special trip to enjoy the sites and sounds. Her favorite booths featured clocks in the shape of cat faces, wooden toys, unique birdhouses, and any booth feature purses or bags. Ava loves being outside and has always been comfortable around different groups of people. She was very interested in the art we were viewing and enjoyed exploring. We shared a delicious dish of Jeni's Ice Cream. Links to this post. What Ava i...
Getting Monkey Ready to Read: "Where did the cat go?"
http://mommamonkey.blogspot.com/2009/07/where-did-cat-go.html
Sunday, July 19, 2009. Where did the cat go? This weekend we visited my parents in Canton. Vacant of plans we took time to explore some of my childhood haunts including Sippo Lake. Stark Parks has done a tremendous job revitalizing this park. I remember fishing, nature walks, and paddle boat rides all of which is still possible; however, there are additional opportunities for exploration and education, including the new Perry Twp. Branch Library overlooking the lake. Awwww, ha ha! That is so funny! Curio...

booky book: Funny Southern Ladies
http://bookybook.blogspot.com/2009/01/funny-southern-ladies.html
Monday, January 19, 2009. Maybe it was a childhood (and young adulthood) spent watching Gone With the Wind and Designing Women, but for some reason, I have always been a huge fan of funny Southern fiction. I still count. Daisy Fay and the Miracle Man. By Fanny Flagg as one of my all time favorite books. My fandom particularly encompasses funny Southern women. Here are just a few of my very favorites:. Usually the titles, alone, are enough to get a snicker out of me. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
booky book: Hi there!
http://bookybook.blogspot.com/2009/01/hi-there.html
Sunday, January 11, 2009. Welcome to my second little blog! That being said, I'm just about 20 pages away from the end of Edna Ferber's Giant. Which I have loved. I don't know why I haven't read more of Ferber - I read So Big. Back in high school, when I was obsessed with all things western historical American. Her style is plain but very readable, and I identify very much very Leslie, the main character of the story. The latest Sweet Potato Queens type book), The Oxford Project. A book, a nap, a dog.

http://bookybook.blogspot.com/2009/01/fashion-kitty.html
Monday, January 12, 2009. I just read the latest. Harper's Fashion Kitty series, Fashion Kitty and the Unlikely Hero. Okay, I know what you're thinking -. Sounds a little pretty princess, froofroo. Well, Fashion Kitty is the exact opposite! Minded kitty, with a mouse for a pet, and an eerie ability to hear when someone is having a fashion emergency. With her major empathy and flying skills, Fashion Kitty takes off the save the day by encouraging other kitties to dress the way they. A book, a nap, a dog.
booky book: March 2009
http://bookybook.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 11, 2009. I recently read two very good books by unfamiliar authors, both from the point of view of a child. In the first, Asta in the Wings,. By Jan Elizabeth Watson, the reader is drawn through Asta's world as it expands dramatically. In the second, When We Were Romans,. By Matthew Kneale, nine year old Lawrence tries to make sense of his paranoid mother's actions. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A book, a nap, a dog. Here I am at the Grand Ole Opry. Momma Moments with ME
Momma Moments with ME. Tuesday, July 3, 2012. I know, I know, you're disappointed that you didn't see me and someone else foolishly trying to ride a tandem bike! BUT, this is so much better (well, I think it is anyway! So before I get into the whole tandem bike thing, I need to get it off my chest about this HUGE hiatus I have taken, yet again. I am sort of disappointed and sort of encouraged. Not necessarily failed, but not done with it what I wanted. (Herein lies another issue;). At this point some are...

Momma Monologues | Just another WordPress.com site
Just another WordPress.com site. Showered in Love Part #2. June 1, 2012. It’s been pouring rain showers all day making it a perfect reminder, and perfect weather, to write about my second baby shower. It was truly the perfect theme since I love to travel. The shower was an afternoon affair with all of my favorite foods–hummus, vegetables, fruit, pita bread, salad and olives from Fresh Start Cafe. The “icing on the cake” was litterally the cake. Pastries By Design. Go-to place for celebrations! She is a b...
