http://pilcrowlitfest.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html
Another feature starting up this week is the Five with. It's pretty much exactly like it sounds. It's five questions each time with a different Pilcrow guest participant. Stay tuned for that. Posted by Amy Guth. Pilcrow wants your email. Please note on the front page of the Pilcrow site. We've added a mailing list sign up. We're not going to stuff your inbox with a ton of useless crap, don't even worry for a minute. But, what we will. Posted by Amy Guth. Posted by Amy Guth. Posted by Amy Guth. And comedi...

All Peas and Carrots. Show and Tell: What's Justin Working On? Lots of freelance, including posters and putting the finishing touches on the redesigned website for the (downtown) omaha lit fest. Check back as the festival nears for updated lists of panelists and events. After two years away, I'll be attending this the fourth installation of Timothy Schaffert's lit weekend. Should be interesting to see what he's done with the old gal in my absence. Posted by Justin at 3:07 PM. Posted by Justin at 12:14 PM.

All Peas and Carrots: April 2008

All Peas and Carrots. The Bears are on the Clock. Oh, boy, the NFL Draft! Living in Chicago, where the biggest, most compelling football happening since about early November was the free agent signing of Marty Booker, the draft is like a beautiful bacon oasis in a desert of puffed rice. It's hope renewed, and the first official cue that it's cool to start thinking about the next season. So where do the Bears go draft-wise? Posted by Justin at 9:42 AM. At it's core, this purported Horrifying Example of Ar...

All Peas and Carrots: June 2008

All Peas and Carrots. Finally, I Can Pimp My MySpace Page. I'm a retarded fucking web designer. That's no metaphor, either when it comes to web design, I'm as big a halfwit mongoloid as they come. Talk of DIVs and absolute positioning and style sheets leaves me spitting and shitting and sputtering like crazy and the amount of key-jingling (in the form of friendly, comfortable print design) it takes to calm me down has been steadily increasing for years. Yeah, I've designed. Web design sooner, easier.

Kurtz and Augenlicht LLP. 123 W Madison St, Suite 700. Chicago, IL 60602. A special shout-out to Justin Wolta. From whom we commissioned our snazzy logo. Thanks to the talented people who have given us the use of their high-quality material through the use of permissive licenses:. For his excellent photograph of the Chicago skyline (it looks much sharper without the black gradient on top of it). For the unfortunate image of a foreclosed house. For use of his somewhat-famous image of a jail cell.

All Peas and Carrots. Urge to Make Fishstick Joke Rising. Art Night coincided with the republican debate on CNN, and since Sweetpea's been hinting that I need to get a little more politically aware, I tuned in. The verdict, taking into account I know only a minuscule amount of these men's policies and platforms and am only basing this on the hour or so of the debate tonight that I watched:. Wasn't this guy Washington gold only a few years ago? My favorite showing of the evening. I liked RP's air of d...

All Peas and Carrots. Well, great news for me. Doesn't really affect you at all, but whatevs. So what's all the fuss about? Well, this little web shingle I've hung just scored me a pretty cherry freelance gig. I can't say much right now, as it's still early and details are being hammered, but I'll update you later and will definitely post the finished product when it's, you know, finished. Posted by Justin at 1:52 PM. Annie, Get Your Gunn. It's Wednesday, and that means Project Runway. Long, short, tassl...

All Peas and Carrots. Today's Featured Article on Wikipedia. Posted by Justin at 11:30 AM. Whew What a weekend. It was a big chore, a huge undertaking, that Pilcrow Lit Fest, but madams Güth. There were photogs and documentarians floating around all four days of the Lit Fest. Some of their great work can be found at the Pilcrow flickr page. More interviews and videos and podcasts and photos to come, surely. Dispatched writers to Nebraska almost monthly to spend weekends profiling Nansel and Oberst. C...
