Tuesday, May 28, 2013. Family Dinner: Citrus Couscous Salad w/ Chicken. A few weeks back I was returning something to Nordstroms. Side note: the half-yearly sale is on now! And I treated myself to a citrus couscous salad at their E-bar Cafe. It was a delicious combination of Israeli couscous, citrus flavored chicken, dried cherries and mandarin oranges. The next day I couldn't get the salad out of my mind so I decided to try and recreate it myself, and I must say I did a FABULOUS job! 2 cups fresh arugula.

Normally we listen to the country station in my car since Dylan was pointing out how many "bad words" were in the songs on the regular pop station. Friday, October 25, 2013. Alex and Ollie left early this morning for Texas so I'm all by my lonesome for the weekend. It's only been an hour and it's already weird not having them in the house. Hopefully I will get over missing them and get some relaxation in soon! I was sad to skip out on the annual Texas trip this year, but I'm excited to be Corina's Godmother at her baptism this weekend! And I know Alex and Ollie will have a great time visiting the ranch and seeing all the cows. Hes gonna love it!

Monday, September 30, 2013. Sitting by the Seaside. With record Seattle rains pouring down it's hard to believe we were building sandcastles on the beach and dipping our toes in the Pacific Ocean just a few weeks ago! I shouldn't be surprised to see fall weather since we're well into September, but we had such a nice long summer it's still a bit shocking to see those rain clouds overhead. Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Mukilteo Beach and Lighthouse. When you live in the Pacific Northwest for your ENTIRE life and realize there's so much you've never seen or done, it can be depressing.
