I receive more texts, more Facebook posts and more acknowledgment today than any other day of the year, more than Christmas and my birthday combined. If my children don’t know your name then you don’t know me, I am just an acquaintance. I don’t care if people refer to me as “tiger mom”, “mama bear” or crazy. I take it as a compliment. What did you do to honor and appreciate your mother today?

In lieu of gifts I had friends and family pay their own and I let my daughter invite 2 friends. Her grandpa ended up paying for most of the guests. I think I spent $30. I recently attended a seminar whose guest speaker was the amazing “Captain Sully”, the captain who landed a failed aircraft on the Hudson River. Somehow his speech stuck with me. Saturday, April 24, 2010. This is one of the funniest things i have ever heard one of my kids say. Jackson was in the bath by himself and I walked in to check on him. He was lying down on his back, ears under the water. I said something like, "hey buddy, how ya' doing? He replies, "I'm a diver Mommy". "A diver? I asked. he says, "yes, just like Jesus.
