Friday, November 14, 2008. We recently had a group of moms that came out and ran the Goblin Gallop 5k in Fairfax. For many of our members it was their first race. Congrats to Jen (pink shirt above) for placing 2nd in the women's division! As a MBC instructor she doesn't just talk the talk, she runs too! Stayed on the sideline and cheered the moms on during the 5k. It was a great opportunity for our kids to participate in a race and to See Mommy Run. Make it a family affair and get running! Friday, October 17, 2008. HERE'S TO YOU VERUCA SALT! Not sure how your Friday night went, but mine was spent watching Willy Wonka. The Chocolate Factory, old school version of course. My kids usually watch 30 minutes of a show and then it's back to "mommy what else can we do". So I was surprised (pleasantly) when they became glued to the TV watching my old VHS tape of the classic Wonka. Lots of lessons to be learned from those little Oompah. What's your favorite movie to watch with your kids?

Wednesday, October 15, 2008. We've gotten used to seeing "MommySTRONG" on our website, t-shirts, and even our cars. But what does MommySTRONG really mean? Does it mean you can do 50 burpies without breaking a sweat? Run faster than instructor Jen at the 6am bootcamp? So, you totally brought tears to my eyes! Thanks for keeping the perspective!
