Sorta Awe-tistic: July 2006

http://shannaphilipson.blogspot.com/2006_07_01_archive.html

Life is never what you thought it'd be. Saturday, July 29, 2006. Irritating Fictional Artists I Love. I've been recommending The Horse's Mouth. To a certain somebody. For a couple of months. Right now she's reading Chesterton's take on artists. I should read Chesterton, too, but the regional. Library near my home hasn't any Chesterton on its fiction shelves. (It's a lovely building, but it's collection is ever so lame, and I haven't the brain cells to properly lament what that means just now.). This past...

What peace that gives me, knowing He will accomplish it and no matter how well or how poorly I "handle" this His love and His plan for me cannot be altered, it does not depend on me. We covet your prayers and are so thankful for the encouragement so many of you have given. We love you guys, and we will pray for your needs as always. aunt amy. January 6, 2011 at 2:55 PM. http://thedriggersfamily.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

Sunday, July 11, 2010. One year and four months ago we brought home this sweet baby boy. His official name is Lincoln Matthew, but we are those kind of annoying parents that actually end up calling their children some weird pet name. I don't know how we got to be those parents! So, I wanted something kinda rhym-y, match-y! Bug-a-boo fit the bill. Well bugs/buggy and many other names I won't mention as I am already thinking of retracting this whole post- turned ONE YEAR OLD! I already miss some of the cut...

Milk Eggs and Life: January 2012

http://milkeggsandlife.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html

Sunday, January 29, 2012. Last week my lovely husband's lovely grandmother had a birthday. She lives at the front of the farm, so made her some cookies and Myles delivered them on her birthday. These cookies are black and whites. I love them. They are my favorite kind of cookie. I hope Ma loved them as well. These cookies are not overly sweet and they are very cake-like. Here is the recipe:. 2 cups cake flour. 3 cups AP flour. 1 tsp baking powder. 2 sticks butter (at room temperature). 1 3/4 cup sugar.

A Mommy’s Guide to Getting Rich? A Mommy’s Guide to Getting Rich? There are countless books on how to get rich. We buy them for hope, but the best of them offer us a mindset. If you want to make money you have to think like someone who makes money. One book that has really helped me change the way I think about money is Secrets of the Millionaire Mind. Clean it up and move on. The kids fight, so you break it up and send them to school. Find and hold onto a positive attitude. Easier said than done! Also e...

The Mommy Code | A New Mom's Guide to Surviving Parenthood

A New Mom's Guide to Surviving Parenthood. When I first had kids, I felt that I had entered an alien world. Where was the book that tells you how to host a family dinner party without anesthesia? Or how to extricate yourself from a toxic playgroup. What to say to a co-worker laughing at the baby vomit on your lapel? Or how to refrain from poisoning your mother-in-law when she laments for the seventh time that her poor son looks so thin and tired? Tell me about it…. December 6, 2013. By The Mommy Code.
