THE SURFACE FAMILY: April 2011
http://thesurfacefamily.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
Thursday, April 21, 2011. Last weekend we took a trip to the Atlanta area to visit my Uncle George and my cousin Jennifer and her family. We stayed at Jennifer's house, which was a dream for the boys because they got to spend time with Jennifer's 4 kids: John Michael, Matthew, Kristen and Benji. Nathan was so excited to see that they had all the same Disney cars that we have at home (and more! After the aquarium we ate a picnic lunch at Centennial Olympic Park, which was built for the 1996 Olympic Games,...

Sunday, June 21, 2009. My good friend Becky is expecting a baby girl, her third child, and it really could be any day now. Her sister Mary and I hosted a shower for her yesterday. Abigail Rose, or Abbie as she'll be called, will be set with a lot of cute and practical things when she arrives. Mary stamped these darling onesies for little Abbie. So cute! Becky and her tiny baby bump. Me, Becky and Mary. Saturday, June 20, 2009. It was a nice, cloudy morning for taking pictures. Here are a few. Most of the...

Tuesday, July 28, 2009. I know, I know. I've been such a slacker this summer when it comes to blogging. I was just looking at some photos I've taken in the past few months and it reminded me of a couple visits we've made to the ER with Nathan. Mom and Dad met us at the hospital so they could bring Tyler back home. (I thank the Lord for them! At the doctor's office - big red belly. Back in the hospital gown. It was a whirlwind month with Nathan with those 2 visits to the ER, but through it all I had a sen...

A Little Bit of Sunshine. Living life with JESUS, JOY and LOVE! Saturday, May 24, 2014. I know that Mother's Day was a few weeks ago, but these past few weeks have FLOWN by! We are OUT of school for the summer and we couldn't be HAPPIER! We are so excited about ALL that we have planned for our summer! But that is all for a different post! Mostly I want to remember how special this past Mother's day was! After tasting each treat (I am not sure who was more excited about breakfast, the kiddos, Wyatt or I?

A Little Bit of Sunshine. Living life with JESUS, JOY and LOVE! Tuesday, May 28, 2013. As I was cleaning off our kitchen table for the 4th time early this morning I was reminded of the day we bought it! We had just found and bought our very first house and we were SO EXCITED to find the perfect furniture for it! When we got married we had everyone's hand-me-downs that were such a blessing, but we were exited to find OUR first furniture! We were looking for all new furniture so we spent ALL day there!

THE SURFACE FAMILY: May 2009

Friday, May 15, 2009. In two weeks time, Nathan has been to various doctors a total of 6 times. Throw in a baby shower, kitchen remodeling, Mother's Day, and the final MOPS meeting of the year and we've had craziness at our house. It all started at Nathan's 1-year check-up at the pediatrician exactly 2 weeks ago when we found out he had an ear infection and a lump in his scrotum. So, the well-check did not go so well. We went there expecting to hear, "He looks great! The cake and punch table. The followi...

THE SURFACE FAMILY: March 2009
http://thesurfacefamily.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Wednesday, March 25, 2009. We've had a rough week at our house with Nathan and Tyler both being sick. Both boys were not sleeping well while they were sick. Tyler even had to sleep in our bed a couple nights because he was coughing all night long and we didn't want him to wake up Nathan who was already having trouble sleeping with all the congestion. Thankfully, they're finally on the mend and we're all getting more rest. Here are a couple photos from the past week or so. Nathan and Kay-Kay at the mall.

Sunday, July 24, 2011. Sleepy First Two Weeks. In the first two weeks of Luke's life, most of the photos I've taken of him capture him asleep. I've tried to take a few of him with his eyes open, but as soon as I start snapping photos, that's when he realizes that he's hungry. 4 days old - PJ checks out Luke. And here's what my other boys have been up to while Luke has been sleeping. 1 week - Three handsome boys. 10 days old - Big yawn. 11 days - Wanting to eat and growing a little impatient.

Thursday, September 17, 2009. Museum of Life and Science. We went to the Museum of Life and Science for Gabe's 2nd birthday at the end of August. Since the beginning of this month was kind of busy around here, I'm just now getting around to posting some photos from that day. I went a little crazy with the camera, so there were lots of pictures to sort through. It was a great time for all of us and we're glad we could be a part of Gabe's special day. Cooper checks out an old caboose. Tyler on the rock wall.

Thursday, April 30, 2009. Happy Birthday, Nathan! It's official. Our baby is one-whole-year old. I feel like Nathan's first year went by so much faster than Tyler's, and I'm sure that has something to do with having two boys to chase all day. We celebrated Nathan's big day with a trip to the zoo! Our first stop - giraffes and zebras. That's an elephant in the background. Checking out a chimpanzee. Playing at the KidZone - The boys LOVED this place! Nathan and his new googly ball. Monday, April 27, 2009.
