Tales from da motherhood. Reflections and observations of my life raising two boys. I alway knew it would happen one day … being mistaken for the nanny. So why did the moron. Who came to my door asking to speak to the “owner of the house” surprise me? It more than surprised me. I was livid. Even as I type this post, I can feel the loathing for that man rising up again. 8221; … until the moron came to my door a few days ago. The night the moron came to my door, I remembered how I was continually mocked by...

tales from da motherhood: February 2009

Saturday, February 21, 2009. After ball hockey this morning, Little Dude's coach offered him a Timbit from TH's very familiar SnackPack box. I wasn't surprised to hear daddy decline and was impressed to hear him counter Little Dude's many "I want some" pleas with a question instead of a negative. "Want some what? I want some meatballs," Little Dude demanded. We all laughed. Little Dude giggled, nervously. And, that was the end of that. No, Little Dude has never eaten Timbits. Monday, February 16, 2009.

June 24, 2010 at 8:07 pm. I failed miserably at trying to blog out my pregnancy with baby #3. Now that I’m nearing the end, I wanted to get some thoughts out there to commemorate this time in our lives. I hope to get in a few more before baby’s born. So, the big day came. I thought I would be a nervous wreck. But I was completely calm and ready to hear what I already knew another boy. As the ultrasound tech rolled the lubricated wand across my belly she caught a glimpse of three lines between...After loo...

February 12, 2010 at 4:26 pm. My mom spent the last two months of her life in a hospital, and for those two months I spent every day by her side. She passed away shortly before I hit the 20 week mark of my first pregnancy. Needless to say, there aren’t many pictures of me in my first trimester (or my second trimester) when I was pregnant with baby #1. That son’s first year was subsequently (overly) documented in a scrapbook the width of an encyclopedia]. 8230;but I never made it past the fourth month.

I am SO not ready. April 26, 2009 at 2:01 pm. He sat in a circle of preschoolers on a brightly colored number 7 carpet square. He looked so cute and so content as he listened intently to a woman dressed as Mother Goose tell stories and nursery rhymes. It was preschool open house week and we were sitting in, observing for the day. What about the names of coins, he still thinks everything is called a penny. What about. Will be ready for preschool. And this time next year he will be four. What are you doing...

Do you want to get the camera, or should I? Thought I would share the recent additions…. A couple weeks ago, I was no more than 5 minutes into nursing the baby before my husband got home from work, walked into our back family room and asked, Do you want to get the camera, or should I? 8230;yyyyeah, what can I say? A huge pile of rock salt in our front entry. It was more likely that he was going to throw cereal at the dog. I called after him, That’s your cereal, don’t feed it to the dog! 8220;Don’t ...

tales from da motherhood: the sum of me
http://talesfromdamotherhood.blogspot.com/2010/02/sum-of-me.html
Monday, February 15, 2010. The sum of me. Instead of writing a post, I've managed to waste time creating this word cloud. The top 150-ish words appearing in my blog since I created it a year ago. The bigger the word, the more frequent it appears. The shape reminds me slightly of a thumb print. April 17, 2011 at 11:56 PM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). What's on my mind?
