Her hair is really growing in nicely – looks about an inch long – very brunette and I think curly! The picture showed her in a deep knee bend pose with her 5 and 3 year old girls on each side of her – on a boat! She said her coordination was fine and she did well on the outing. Can you believe it? A nice post from Kate. Day 31. November 6, 2015. Well it’s officially been a one month now since getting my stem cells back and nearly three weeks since coming back home. So I thought that I would send an update. The first two weeks back home were also hard. I was still nauseous and extremely weak. My coordination started off being worse than it had ever been. Post 5 mo., 6 days. TV Interview-Dr. Burt. March 11, 2016. This is an interview with Dr. Burt – Kate’s doctor that gave her the stem-cell transplant and chemo therapy. The overall results are sooooo very encouraging! Then, you hear about this treatment. It seems like a terrible thing to endure – and yet, if all goes well, starting 3-6 months before treatment – no meds. No needles. No pills. No side-effects. The best thing, though? One step closer, I have transferred my office work to someone else! July 13, 2015. 8221; Today I was up bright and early, called the software support line at 7:30 AM, transferred my software to her computer and also all the data. Then manually moved all the files, etc. to her office. Finished at 4:45. I still have a mess in my office which I should be able to clean out in 2 hours. It’s kind of nerve-wracking (sp? That’s 4 weeks from today! Kate 165 (5 1/2 mo.) I love reporting great results!

Plane reservations are made. June 23, 2015. Kate is a wonderful young woman, but all mothers out there will know that no matter how “tough” their child is, it is so. Difficult to watch them “deal with what life hands them.” I have wished so many times that SciFi was real, that I could just hold her wrists and all the bad stuff would just flow from her to me. September 3, 2015. Yesterday, I was up bright and early to get to MCI by 6:30 AM for my 8 AM flight to DC. I will spent the day with Kate and her family. Kate and I will fly to Chicago this afternoon. She is scheduled to be admitted tomorrow for an overnight stay at the hospital. Another early morning as she needs to be there by 7:30 AM.
