It wasn't because I was one year older. In fact, I'm not the least bit bothered by my age. I don't even "feel" my age. The increasing number doesn't scare me or embarrass me. I look forward to each birthday, especially milestone birthdays. Why the fuck would you do this? Why couldn't you just wait 5 minutes until the thought passed?
