Little Snow.BIG Snow! The snow came on Tuesday.and it was just enough to cover the ground, maybe an inch or two. Enough to call off school, play, sled, make snow angels, etc. Last night it snowed all night long and we woke up to a much bigger snow today! Another day off of school and more fun in the snow! A Day in the Life. Thursday, August 27, 2009. First Day of School. Well, I have been horrible about getting the blog updated with summer pictures, so I'll just start with the First Day of School pictures and get to the vacation pictures as I can. Here's my 2nd grader and my PreK'er on their first day of school. Sunday, August 2, 2009. Another trip to the zoo - this time as a family (with daddy). I think the pictures pretty much speak for themelves - it was a much warmer day this time. We love the tram.

August 06, 2010. Time Flies When You Are Having Fun. We had our APQ interview and met our personal social worker and adoption coordinator that will be with us throughout the rest of the journey. During the interview our adoption specialist goes through each question and each answer and lets us know how our decisions may or may not effect our match. We got a great big "high five" from our coordinator and were told we could not have done a better APQ. YES! So keep your fingers crossed that all goes well!

August 11, 2010. Request For Live Scans and Please Don't Forget to Include Your Entire Personal History. We got through our first home study interview! In all honesty, it wasn't much of an interview. It was more like a "here is another pile of redundant forms and paperwork"meeting. I am not discouraged. In fact, I haven't even slowed down. I have this goal in mind, you know, that six week goal. I helped Marta celebrate her 17th birthday last night with Johanna and Megan. We went to the Chocolate Bar in Lafayette Square and had WAY TOO MUCH FUN! We laughed so much (at one point I thought I burst something inside myself), ate a lot, and just generally had a blast! I am SURE we were a mystery to the other people in that evening, but oh well!

February 16, 2010. Well, we did it! I'm happy to report that we have sent in our first initial non-refundable payment and step one of the application process! I can't begin to express our excitement!
