Last night, all seven undergraduates, one teacher, and one project coordinator arrived safely in the Dalbay Valley. The journey was mostly uneventful, but the length of it gives a great picture of just how remote this camp site is. Landing on the dirt runway was smoother than expected. Friday, August 5, 2011. I've made it back to Ulaanbaatar after a summer of science and heaps of fun in Northern Mongolia. Thanks to NSF, the P.I.s and everyone at PIRE Mongolia.
