Life is an Adventure: March 2009
http://jonathan-and-emily.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Life is an Adventure. Wednesday, March 25, 2009. Most of March was consumed by Maple Sugaring this year. We set up a "sugar shack" in our backyard and boiled off several hundred gallons of maple sap. In the end we had lots of jars of yummy homemade syrup to share with family, friends, and co-workers. I'll try to take you through the process step by step with the next few photos. Learned the most from several videos he found on youtube. Efficient with almost no debris. This is the classic set up used at T...

Fields of the harvest. View my complete profile. Thursday, December 30, 2010. Sometimes in western Mongolia you just have to make do. Christmas, for example! There is no wrapping paper of any kind here. While our friends creatively cut up a Christmas tablecloth, we made some potato stamps and decorated our own paper. Who knew that wrapping presents could be almost as fun as un-wrapping them! I enjoyed a little stardom of my own, participating in the Christmas choir for our all-Hovd Church Celebration ;).

First Week for Zeke. Fields of the harvest. View my complete profile. Saturday, October 27, 2012. Dung is dried cow poo that is burned in fires instead of wood. It is my job to bring it in the house to burn. It burns hot and fast. I get it from a pile outside in our yard about once every two days. This job is kind of gross but it is also fun. Fields of the harvest. Fields of the harvest. Thursday, October 18, 2012. Note: Isaiah is more of a photographer, as you can see, than an author.).

Fields of the harvest. View my complete profile. Friday, December 21, 2012. Last week I got a package from my school. I got a book and a Lego game. Things like this rarely happen so I enjoy it.
