Sunday, August 16, 2015. Welcome to Sunday Salutations! In my life, I've been making it pretty well without cane or knee walker. Although they've been trusty and steadfast, it's been nice not to have to rely on them. The weeks seem to be going by fast, and it's hard to think of the summer coming to a close soon! On the blog . . . A late edition of Sunday Salutations. At the beginning of the week. ForFirst Chapter First Paragraph Tuesday Intros, my selection was Dandelion Wine. My reading . . . Here are f...

New England Book List. Tagged: Book Title Acrostic. Posted August 11, 2015 by Lory. Nicole of Feed Your Fiction Addiction tagged me in her impressive Tagapalooza. Post some time ago. This was a chance to pick one of four tags to play along with, and the idea of making an acrostic of book titles using my name was most appealing. Would you care to join in? I’d love to see your name in books! By Louisa May Alcott. Of Mice and Men. By L Frank Baum. Year of the Griffin. By Diana Wynne Jones. It is a fun idea!

RAINY DAYS AND MONDAYS. Books Chase Away the Blues. REVIEW: WATERMELON, BY MARIAN KEYES. Posted in Book review. When Claire Walsh Webster had her baby girl on February 15, the date was permanently etched on her mind for two reasons: it was her daughter’s birthday, and it was the day her husband James abandoned her for the woman with whom he had been having an affair. Themes of betrayal, relationships, and family dynamics kept the story interesting, although it moved rather slowly for most of the story.

Monica's Books | Thinking about Faith, Life and Books

Thinking about Faith, Life and Books. On the banks of the Arun. Pilgrimage 2016 – Melrose to Lindisfarne. Painting in winter is tricky. The days are short and the weather uncertain. I did this sketch in January. By the time I had finished at 3pm the light was fading. Yet there is light and colour. The shadows are deeper but the green grass and orange sky are still bright. In winter the world is not dead. There is still life. And summer will come. This entry was posted in Uncategorized. June 4, 2017.

I searched for what seemed like eternity, on a path to reach your soul, I almost lost my sanity, even though I promised you I wouldn’t lose my self-control. At first I thought it was my imagination, I tried to pretend you weren’t real, you’re the most amazing man, and each word you speak creates a separate, hot sensation, how can I ignore what you make me feel? You come inside of my body, or so I thought, yet you’ve got a...
