chocolate covered chases: week with cousins
http://chocolatecoveredchases.blogspot.com/2015/07/week-with-cousins.html
Sunday, July 19, 2015. Our last week in Smithfield was lovely - just lots of playing with cousins. We had a nice rainy day so, of course, we played outside. Uncle Brian took the group out for Aggie Ice Cream and it was SCRUMPTIOUS! Yes, that is a brace on Sarah's arm. She broke it - again. She has a buckle fracture so no cast, just a brace for 4 weeks. sheesh! Then the sun came out, so we took all the umbrellas to the splash pad - so fun! We also tried to eat sunscreen sticks. And did eat cookies!

chocolate covered chases: June 2015
http://chocolatecoveredchases.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Sunday, June 21, 2015. Ryan chose to work on Memorial Day and so took Friday off this weekend and we headed north for a few adventures. First stop: Lava Caves North of Flagstaff. It's about 3/4 of a mile to the end of the cave and a very good choice for first time spelunking. All the kids did fantastic and it was a blessed break from the heat to be underground with temps in the 30's AHHH! Here we are at the entrance ready to descend. This is close to the end of the cave. And Sarah and Nelson climbing out.

chocolate covered chases: October 2014
http://chocolatecoveredchases.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 27, 2014. Three, although he insists he is four. Nelson turned three a few weeks back, and yes he does insist he is four! We celebrated with pancakes - a favorite of our boy. Later in the day Cousin Marie cashed in a skateland party she won at a school carnival and we partied! The birthday boy refused to even try, but there was a big bowl of popcorn, endless fruit punch and a monster truck cartoon on the TV, so a great time was had by all. Sunday, October 5, 2014. You may not know this ab...

chocolate covered chases: cousin hike!!
http://chocolatecoveredchases.blogspot.com/2015/07/cousin-hike.html
Monday, July 27, 2015. The week of July 4th all the men-folk congregated and we had our cousin hike. It was a fantastic trip. the only downer was Grandpa had hurt his back so badly that Grandma would not let him go. We really missed him. Here is the motley grew, ready to embark. It was SUPER hot that week (triple digits in Cache Valley - ikk). You cannot see it in the photo, but this whole bowl was COVERED in wildflowers. The kids spent hours harvesting them. They were incredibly gorgeous. You can see us...

chocolate covered chases: March 2015
http://chocolatecoveredchases.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 24, 2015. We went a bit out of the ordinary for Chases this Spring Break. I decided that Disneyland is one of those necessary shared cultural experiences and it was time to take the kids. Ryan didn't want/couldn't go and Aunt Mel had been planning a trip with just she and Emmy, so we combined and had a great time. Bright and early on St. Patrick's day we were off and didn't stop all day. It was exhausting. Good thing I took that nap the day before. Another highlight was JEDI TRAINING!

chocolate covered chases: new summer stuff
http://chocolatecoveredchases.blogspot.com/2015/07/new-summer-stuff.html
Wednesday, July 15, 2015. I keep telling myself, change is good, change is good. And, you know what? Here are a few of the things we did with our people in our three weeks in Utah. Jess and Brian and their older children were on trip to Guatemala and so we got Sage and Abe to ourselves for a week - HA! Sage was a jewel and Abe was a joy! It's always fun to have some time with the littlest cousins and try to win them over. An evening walk along the river was lovely. So were the girls. What I ate today.

chocolate covered chases: February 2015
http://chocolatecoveredchases.blogspot.com/2015_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 24, 2015. The nice part of february. In the middle of all the yucky part of February, we got to go to Utah to see cousins and aunt Mel's show Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. The show was OUTSTANDING! On Saturday, before the show, we hiked the Y with the kids and they did great. Uncle Michael the birthday boy. Aunt Sherrie, Nelson and William between parties. Sunday, February 22, 2015. That beastly month of February. February has been rather beastly from a health perspective.

chocolate covered chases: april...lots and lots of april
http://chocolatecoveredchases.blogspot.com/2015/05/april-was-busy-we-started-month-with.html
Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Aprillots and lots of april. We started the month with general conference weekend and 12 batches of cinnamon rolls to raise money for girls camp! Diana did an incredible job! Nelson broke his arm in a collision getting on the trampoline. He was a cast trooper. Also very suave and cool. He wanted a pink sparkly cast but I talked him into green so I don't have to deal with his teenage self asking me WHY I let him get pink. I found this in Isaac's backpack and it made my heart happy.
