Tuesday, June 30, 2009. Thing #15 - Wiki Page. Before I begin to reflect there is a big THANK YOU going out to Julia Walker (the innocent victim who had last uploaded her Wiki page to the Sandbox) and Debbie Swartz who was in her office the multiple times I called hollering "Help! I give thanks that both of you had the patience to walk me step by step. There were times that the title "wicked page" ran through my mind before I had their assistance. The two (only 2? Skip to main content. Get your Wikispaces Classroom now:. The easiest way to manage your class. Summer's Wiki Future. I really got a lot of great information from the Wiki's that I visited. I think that I would really work hard to use them in my classroom for collaborative projects. I know that there will be a lot of work that I will need to do up front, as well as specific skills taught before we can even start and, as needed, throughout the process. Wiki's that I visited:. 1001 Flat World Tales.

Lifelong Beach Bum: October 2008

Saturday, October 25, 2008. Adventuring in the sandbox was difficult at first, but it was fun to play in after my wife helped me figure it out. She is the greatest! My sandbox page is Burnt Orange Sand. Why does it always have to be a sandbox, why can't it be a sandcircle? I really liked the Thousands Project. Was fun to see! Different classes from around the world were communicating what they were learning through a wiki, how cool is that? For our family so that our families can see what is happening wi...

Echols' Expressions: March 2009
http://echolsexpressions.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Sunday, March 22, 2009. I am loving my Google Reader. It's such a great way to keep up with what's going on. I recently was reading a Techlearning. That students can put together on line. From my Quote of the Day site, I thought I'd share what Vince Lombardi had to say "If you aren't fired with enthusiasm, you'll be fired with enthusiasm." Harry S. Truman said "It's amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.". From BlueSkunk, it provided some food for thought. Using the pictu...

Wednesday, November 26, 2008. Tuesday, November 18, 2008. Okay, this is one of the activities that I enjoyed the most. It was user friendly and I loved adding images to it. It did take me a while but I was not stressed like i have been in other activities. This was fun! Here is my wiki http:/ barnswiki.wikispaces.com/Lovin%27 Life. I would like to start a wiki about a book that a student needs to read first and then have conversation about what happened in the book. This was completed by third grade stud...

http://gladiatormom.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Friday, February 27, 2009. Whew, that was work! It took me a while to get started. I messed up and started to create a separate. Wiki However, once I had my wiki in the sandbox it went pretty quick. I was feeling somewhat goofy when I completed. It so bear with me. I liked doing this activity even though I need to figure out how make it look better. Are there more options as far as how the text looks, etc? One more thing, I have a table of contents but in my table of contents it says { toc. Before as far...

MTA Rocks: June 2010

Wednesday, June 30, 2010. I have seen the CC. Symbol before on material and thought it meant something related to closed captioning (like on TV). lol. This CC seems like it would be great for students as they learn more about technology and use it to their advantage on projects. Especially if they were able to go straight to one of the directories. I have shared you tubes, power points on emails, and some daily devotions as well. I will have to check into that and see if it's allowed legally. So, how did...

B's Babble: Thing #14
http://bbabbleblog.blogspot.com/2009/07/thing-14.html
Wednesday, July 8, 2009. I am still trying to process all this information and decide how to use it. I enjoyed reading the information, and again, went on a wild adventure. Each click of the mouse led me to something new and interesting. I searched through several wikis. And was most impressed with the student input and products on several of them. Seemed like one of the most useful and informative blogs. It is an excellent example of kids writing, collaborating. I really enjoyed the Salute to Seuss.

Here to There & Back Again: October 2008
http://derylr.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Here to There and Back Again. Instructional Technology changes so fast we constantly find ourselves back at the beginning asking questions such as. Where do we go from here? What technologies does a classroom need? What tools are we going to support? What tools can we support? What's our vision for the 21st century learner? We never actually arrive but instead are constantly evaluating and adjusting our goals and targets. So here I am Back Again to learn, explore and adjust some targets. Web 20 Free Ride?
