Wednesday, March 28, 2012. Well, this post is late but I have to post it because it was such a fun weekend. In Feb over President's Day weekend we took Dain over the mountains and through the woods to Lake Wenatchee. We went. We stayed at a wonderful little resort Beaver Valley Lodge. While we were there. Highly recommend it if you ever visit the area. We had a really good weekend for cross country skiing! Erik carried Dain on his back and Dain loved it! May have to switch blog sites. 1 yr old already?

Sunday, June 24, 2012. Dain's first visit to a zoo! Yesterday we decided to take Dain to one of the three "local" zoos in our area. It was cloudy and overcast with chance of rain but hey, we live in the PNW now so we can handle rain anytime! Friday, July 15, 2011. This week Dain started really rolling. Well he's been working on it for about amonth now. Previously he'd only go about 95% of the way and get stuck on his shoulder. Friday, January 13, 2012. 10 mos and Christmas. Well our little guy is still growing! Dain is such a great kid. We can't believe that Dain is already 10 mos old! Before we know it he'll be 1 yr! He is growing fast and learning a lot these days. He started waving "bye-bye" when we were in MN. He gives kisses (sometimes). He loves to play copy cat ghames (see video with Tara, so cute! You get the picture! Anyway, enjoy the pictures! Meeting Grandma and Grandpa C at the airport. Nice to meet you, Uncle John!

When you step on the accelerator, electricity that is stored in a few hundred pounds of lithium-ion batteries (just like in your digital watch) help propel the vehicle foward. At about 20 mph the regular diesel engine kicks in. Then as your driving down the road, the batteries are recharged and the cycle repeats itself. All in all, it's a pretty cool set up.
